The following statement sets out My, Joseph Sammon, policy relating to the

collection, storage and use of personal information in the course of doing business. My purpose is to assure anyone who does business with me that I will comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). This Privacy Policy is in addition to the Terms and Conditions of my Newsletter product or any other products/services that I make available such as workshops, blogs etc. I review the Privacy Policy from time to time and I reserve the right, at my discretion, to modify this policy at any time without notice. You should review this page periodically so that you are updated on any changes to the policy. I take seriously my obligation to safeguard personal information about my clients. I am committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act.

Personal Information What Personal Information I collect:

I collect a variety of personal information in the course of my business from both clients and prospective clients. I only collect personal information to the extent that it is necessary to doing business with my clients such as supplying my clients with information and other services. I am required to collect personal information by law, for example - laws relating to financial transactions and taxation. I may also record other information including promotions. The types of personal information that I may collect, ask you for and hold includes, (purely to do business with you or advise you of products/services that you could subscribe to) without limitation, identification information such as an individual’s name, date of birth, postal address, email address and telephone phone numbers’.

How I collect Personal Information

I will collect information only by lawful and fair means. I collect personal information from prospective clients when they make enquiries into my products/services for the purpose of informing them or making offers of our products or services, when our clients become members of josephsammon.com.au and use my services/products or otherwise provide us with information. It may also be necessary for business purposes to source or collect information relating to a client or prospective client from a third party for promotional purposes, to offer prospective clients our services, in which case I will lawfully collect and hold this information.

How I use Personal Information:

I collect personal information from my clients or prospective clients for the purpose of providing services or offering services to those clients. We may also use contact details for the purpose of sending information about products and services to my clients. Unless you consent, use of your personal information will be related to the primary reason for collection and, only if you would reasonably expect it to occur, would your personal information be used for a secondary purpose or if it is required or authorized by law or otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act. My client’s personal information will not be on-sold or relayed to any third party without the expressed authorization by the client.

By registering with or providing your personal information in the form of an enquiry to Josephsammon.com.au or any of my services, you consent to this information being used by me for the purpose of providing services to you, or offering services/products to you.

There are limited circumstances in which external organizations may be given

access to your personal information. One circumstance is where an Australian legal or governing body requests information of a client, in which case that information will only be provided to assist in a legitimate inquiry conducted by the governing body as permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), other examples are set out below.

• to organizations associated with the provision of our services, such as associated data centres, for marketing and analysis purposes;

• to law enforcement agencies to assist in the prevention of criminal activities;

• in the event of a business transition, such as a merger, corporate re-organization or a purchaser of my products/services or part of all assets, I may transfer your personal information to a successor entity.

Should the information be transferred to a purchasing third party/successor entity, we require these organizations to agree to our Privacy Policy and to strict conditions governing how this information may be used.

Your information is held on servers & computers. I may also store personal information in hard copy or paper files. I and any contracted third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information.

If you think that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please make contact and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.

I may require personal identification in order to complete such a request.
